Ghandruk Trek
Normally Ghandruk trek is planned for trekkers on a limited time schedule and will offer some wonderful close up views of mountain, Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and holy Mount Machhapuchhre (6993m) as well as Dhaulagiri. Our destination is the beautiful and ornate village of Ghandruk, home to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project. We follow the Modi gorge valley through rhododendron and orchid hang forest before we climb to Ghandruk. There are no other routes which have this much natural diversity & cultural variety. Ghandruk village is habitation of Gurungs who are known is "Gurkhas". Gurkhas have glorious history they created in Second World War. Here you have a chance to visit the project to discover at first hand the conservation work being carried out.
