Arun Valley Trek
Arun valley trek is really a non touristic area but this trek provides really superb views of both Mt. Everest and Mt. Makalu as well hundreds of other mountains just on your eye. It is naturally beautiful and culturally miscellaneous trekking destination in Makalu region. Arun valley is the world deepest valley which is extended between two highest mountains Mount Everest and Mount Makalu and between the Sagarmatha and Makalu Barun national parks. Arun valley trek is a wonderful and easy trek; this trek doesn’t require high altitude experience just normal walking will be enough for this trek. Arun valley lies in the Sankhuwasava district, western part of Nepal. Arun valley trek offers a superb memorable views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu and other mountains of the Everest and Makalu Himalayan range as well you will see world deepest Arun valley and Hindu holy lake Salpa Pokhari(3414m). This trek makes to you familiar with the cultures, trations and local life style of this region. Rai, Sherpa, and Limbus are the main inhabitants of Arun valley region. Arun Valley is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture. Walking north up to the Arun river to Sedua and Num, and then crossing Barun La(4110m.) into the upper Barun khola valley for a close appear at Makalu. The highest point of Arun valley trek is Salpa Bhanjyang. Arun valley trek starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and ends at Lukla, then fly back Lukla to Kathmandu. Arun valley trek is the camping (tent) basic trekking. We have to arrange by our trekking team. There are not tea house (lodges) in Arun valley hence; due to its isolation and lack of tea houses this area still receives few trekkers. February to May and August to December is the best season for Arun valley trek.
